Snowed in… day off?
The UK’s weather forecasters are predicting a very snowy night, following the coldest start to a new year since 1996.
Given that this country – including all its roads, schools, train lines and offices – appears to fall apart at the seams after anything more than 3mm of settled snow, lots of people must be thinking tonight, “maybe I’ll get tomorrow off!”
Unfortunately, I’m thinking, “maybe I won’t be able to get home to my nice warm bed after my night shift…”
