Vieux Farka Toure - live at the BBC World Service
Malian band play at BBC Bush House
Acoustic session
Vieux Farka Toure played a calabash drum and sung in French in a special recording for Network Africa, the BBC's breakfast show for African audiences, which was also recorded on video for the BBC website.
They played live acoustic versions of two of their songs, Wale and Souba Souba, and the lead singer gave an interview which was translated in edit before being played on the radio.
I was mixing the audio for both the radio and video versions (read more about the challenges presented in a blog post I wrote at the time).
